Rentals & Keepsakes

Sixteen pieces, delivered, set up and collected

Everything below is real inventory. It leaves the studio at 99 Ralph Erfle Wy in Nepean on the day, gets placed where it belongs, and comes back afterwards. There is no counter here to collect from, which is worth knowing before you compare us with anywhere else.

The catalogue splits in two. Rentals and decor are the pieces that go back on the van. Favours and keepsakes are what guests take home. Add what you like to a quote and we confirm availability for your date. After ideas instead? Browse the gallery of real events.

Before you add anything

What renting a piece actually involves

A rental here is an object with a price on its own card. You can take one piece and nothing else, and plenty of people do. Booking decor is not a condition of renting.

What you cannot do is pick a piece off a photograph and assume it fits. Each listing carries the size and material where our catalogue records them, and says so where it does not: the numbers are four feet, the butterfly panels about three and a half by three, and everywhere else the page asks you to ask us.

Power decides more than space does. The lit pieces run on mains, so the constraint is the distance from the wall you like to the nearest outlet.

Then ground. Anything vertical stands on its own weighted base rather than being fixed to a wall, which is what makes these pieces usable in halls where nothing may be attached to anything. It also means each one wants level, firm floor. Deep pile, soft lawn and an exposed terrace are the three that cause trouble.

How it arrives

Delivered and installed, not collected

Party rental is normally sold two ways: you collect the pieces yourself and pay less for the privilege, or you pay for delivery. We only do the second, because half of what is here does not fit in a car and none of it assembles itself in a car park at eight in the morning.

So a booking covers the drive out, the placement and the collection. What we need back is the venue access: stairs or elevator, which door we load through, and the window you were given at each end. That window, not the size of your order, is what a setup gets sequenced around. Our service area page lists every community with its distance from the studio.

The terms

Lead time, deposits and looking after things

Reserve as early as you can for a peak date, for a specific reason rather than the usual urgency: most statement pieces here are one of a kind, so once a piece is held it is gone rather than back-ordered. Summer weekends, graduation season and the December run fill first. If your date is soon, ask anyway.

The deposit, the payment schedule and the terms covering damage or loss are set out in your quote and confirmed before you commit; we will not publish a figure here that might not apply to your booking. Caring for the pieces is less than people fear, because we install and collect them. In between: drinks off the upholstery, lit pieces dry, and tell us on the night if something goes over.

What is in the catalogue

Four groups, and a reason to open each page

The filter above sorts by rental or favour. This one sorts by the job the piece does.

Lit, and legible from the back of the room

The four-foot marquee numbers are what a milestone gets photographed in front of, and a two-digit figure at that height needs a span of wall, not a corner. The GRAD letters do the same job in June. Both run on mains, so the outlet decides where they go.

Tables that are furniture, not a trestle under a cloth

The sweet cart has a lipped tray, so loose sweets stay on it. The three-tier table steps up so the back row stays visible and its closed front hides the boxes, where the round display table shows its gold frame on purpose. The swing table hangs from its own frame rather than your ceiling, which is what gets it past a venue coordinator. The low picnic table is built for floor seating, not for a park.

The corner every photograph ends up containing

The heart flower arch is the largest piece here, red or white, its centre open so the view behind stays in shot. The rattan peacock chair does all its work above shoulder height. The white butterfly panels are usually taken in pairs. All three are freestanding.

Favours that go home, and the henna set that matches

The mini clay jar, the mini coffeepot and the mini incense burner share a band and a coin, so together they read as a set. The henna handkerchief is a dance prop, so count who will be dancing. The shell boxes carry a printed name card, so they are favour and seating plan at once. The mini glass box comes in two shapes that are not interchangeable.

Want the pieces styled rather than delivered? That is a different purchase: event rentals, balloon decor, backdrops and floral walls and favours matched to the table they sit on.
