The short answer
A hinged clamshell box, pearlescent white in our lead photograph and shown in pink, blue and green as well on our colour chart, with a pearl set into the outside of the shell. It opens to a wrapped chocolate inside and a small printed name card that sits in the upper half, which is the part we personalise for you.

The name card is what makes it work as a place setting
Because each box carries a printed card, these do two jobs at once: they are the favour and they are the seating plan. Set one at each cover and guests find their own place without a chart at the door. That is worth knowing before you order, because it changes the count from an approximation to an exact number and it means the names have to be final earlier than a plain favour would need them.
How it reads across a table
The catalogue photo shows them laid out in a grid, and that is the arrangement that gets the effect: shell after shell, all facing the same way, the pearl catching light in a repeating line. Individually it is a small object. In rows of forty it becomes the table decoration, which means you may not need much else on the surface beyond a runner.

- There is no fixed minimum published, because the sensible quantity depends on what the favour is and how many guests you are expecting. Tell us your guest count with your enquiry and we will quote the real number instead of rounding you up to a box size. Ordering a few spare is normal and costs less than a second run later.
- Can these be personalised with names or a date?
- Most can, and personalisation is the part that needs the most notice. Names, a date or a short message are set before anything is assembled, so the wording has to be final earlier than the rest of your decor does. Send the exact spelling you want with your enquiry, including any accents, because that is what gets printed.
- How long do favours take to make?
- These are assembled by hand rather than pulled off a shelf, so the timeline is driven by quantity and by whether anything is personalised. Send your date and guest count and we will give you a real turnaround before you commit. If your date is tight, say so first: it changes which favours are realistic rather than whether we can help.
