This Privacy Policy explains how Sparkle Events (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you visit ottawasparkleevents.ca or contact us about a wedding, celebration, or event. We are based in 99 Ralph Erfle Wy, Nepean, ON K2J 6W2 and serve Ottawa and the surrounding area.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and plan your event:
- Details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, and the event details you enter in our enquiry form or send us by phone, email, or chat.
- Site usage data: standard, non-identifying analytics such as pages visited and general location, used to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
We do not ask for financial or credit information on this website.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and plan your event or consultation.
- To prepare designs, estimates, and quotes for your celebration.
- To keep you updated about work you have asked us to do.

How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only where necessary to serve you, for example, with trusted service providers who help us operate the site and communicate with you (such as our email, scheduling, and enquiry tools). We may also disclose information where required by law.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>) and records the pages you view, your approximate location and your device and browser. It never receives your name, email address, phone number or the contents of your messages, and we do not use it for advertising. Google processes this information on servers in the United States.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site: where they click, how far they scroll, and where they get stuck. It records a playback of the mouse movement and clicks in a visit, and it sets its own cookies to recognise a returning visit. All text is masked before it leaves your browser, so anything you type into a form — your name, phone number, email address or message — is never recorded and never visible to us in a playback. You can switch it off for every site you visit using your browser’s own controls, or by installing Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and event information only as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, then securely delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Email info@ottawasparkleevents.ca or call 613-869-1777 and we will act on your request.
If you would rather see how that right works in law than take our word for it, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada sets out how to make a written access or correction request to a business and what the business has to do in response.
