Illuminated GRAD Letters
Four freestanding marquee letters spelling GRAD, white faced and studded with round bulbs across the front. They rent at $300 and they light up, so the one thing we need from you early is where the nearest outlet sits in relation to the wall you want them against. Our catalogue does not record their height and we are not going to estimate one on a page, so ask when you enquire: it decides whether they clear a low basement ceiling and whether a table behind them stays visible over the top.
The Year in Marquee Numbers
Illuminated numbers at four feet, $80 each, standing the graduating year beside the letters or on their own at the entrance. They are the piece most often photographed after the GRAD letters themselves, and they carry a party that is otherwise happening in an ordinary room or a backyard. Numbers can be rented without any styling around them if you are handling the rest yourself.
Photo Backdrops & Balloon Work
A graduation generates more posed photographs than almost any other party we style, and nearly all of them happen in one spot. So the backdrop earns more attention than the table settings. Garlands are built to a palette rather than pulled from a bag, which matters here because school colours are specific and rarely match a stock assortment. Tell us the colours early: shades that have to be ordered in need lead time.
Dessert & Cake Tables
Built as a set piece on real furniture instead of a folding table under a cloth. A gold sweet cart rents at $130, a three-tier display table at $130, and a round cake table at $150, each bookable on its own. For a graduation the table usually doubles as where the cap, the diploma and the photographs end up, so it is worth having it hold the room rather than sit at the edge of it.
When should we book a graduation party?
Earlier than most people expect. Graduation season is one of three stretches that fill first in our inventory, alongside summer weekends and the December holidays, and most statement pieces here are one of a kind rather than stocked in quantity. Once the GRAD letters are booked for a date they are genuinely gone, not back-ordered. If the ceremony date is fixed and the party date is not yet, tell us both and we will hold whichever one works.
Do you decorate schools and campuses, or only home parties?
Both, and they are genuinely different jobs. A backyard or home party is styled around one focal wall and whatever the room already is. A school or campus celebration means a room booked for a fixed window, a caretaker or facilities contact who decides what may be attached to what, and a load-in that has to finish before an assembly or a ceremony starts. We have done both. What we need from you for the second kind is the access window and the name of whoever controls the room, early rather than on the day.
Can you match school colours?
Usually, and it is worth sending the exact reference rather than describing it. School colours are specific and two schools calling a shade the same name rarely means the same balloon. Send a photo, a crest, or the colour codes if the school publishes them, and we will match the garland and backdrop to it. Where a shade cannot be sourced in time for your date we will say so before you book rather than substituting something close and hoping nobody notices in the photographs.
What does a graduation setup actually cost?
It depends almost entirely on how much of it you want built. Individual rental pieces have published prices and can be booked on their own: GRAD letters at $300, a marquee number at $80, a sweet cart at $130, a three-tier table at $130, a round cake table at $150. A full styled build with a garland scaled to your wall, a backdrop and a dessert table is quoted per event, because guest count, venue and access window move it more than any list could. We quote itemized either way, so you can see each piece and move the budget between them before anything is confirmed.

We come back with a direction built for your actual room, plus an itemized quote you can adjust piece by piece.

Colour-matched balloons are ordered ahead of the date, and the letters, backdrop and table are planned as one look rather than separately.
Setup and teardown
We install inside your access window and finish before guests arrive. Teardown can be included, which matters most in a school hall that has to be cleared by a fixed time.

Can we rent just the GRAD letters?
Yes. The GRAD letters rent at $300 on their own, with no styling booked around them. Plenty of families handle their own decorating and want the one piece that carries the room. They are illuminated, so tell us where the nearest outlet is relative to the wall you want them against, and ask us for their height when you enquire: our catalogue does not record it and we will not guess it for you.
Do you decorate at schools as well as at home?
Yes, both. For a school or campus celebration the two things we need early are the access window and whoever controls the room, because what may be attached to a wall is usually their call rather than ours. For a home or backyard party we work around the focal wall and the light in the room. Either way we install before guests arrive and teardown can be included.

Balloons in a particular shade are ordered in, so a precise match is easier with three weeks than with three days. If a colour cannot be sourced for your date we will tell you before you book.
