The Honest Answer
Short answer: Wedding decor rentals in Ottawa come in two shapes, and the price difference between them is not really a price difference. One kind hands you the pieces at a warehouse counter and you work out the rest. The other delivers each piece, installs it where it belongs, and comes back for it. Both are legitimate. They are just built for different weddings, and quotes from the two are not comparable line for line no matter how similar the item lists look.
If you are comparing quotes from a few rental companies, the line that usually explains the gap is setup and teardown rather than the decor itself.

The two kinds of rental company, and how to tell them apart in ten seconds
The supply model
Large inventory, low per-item prices, you collect and return. Folding chairs, banquet tables, linens, glassware, all in volume. If you need a hundred matching chairs for a sit-down dinner, this is the right call and it will cost you less than any other option. You will need a vehicle, a plan for who is loading it, and someone free the morning of.
The delivered-and-installed model
Smaller inventory, chosen for pieces that anchor a room and photograph well, priced per piece with delivery and installation built in. You do not touch it.
The ten-second test is the return. Ask any rental company one question: who takes it down and when. A supply company will tell you the return deadline. A decor company will tell you the time it is collecting from your venue.
Outside The Quote
What each model actually costs you, once you count the parts nobody quotes
A quote is not a price. Compare the four things that sit outside it.
Transport
Statement pieces do not fit in a car. A rattan peacock chair, a heart-shaped flower arch, a swing dessert table and a set of four-foot marquee numbers are not a car-boot job. If a quote assumes you collect, price the van, and price the second trip for the return.
Assembly time on the morning
Backdrop frames, arches and garlands are quick when you have built a hundred of them and slow when it is your first. That time comes out of the morning of your wedding.
The teardown slot
Every Ottawa venue gives you a time everything must be out by. A supply company's deadline is its own counter opening hours, which may be Monday. Your venue's deadline is often the same night. The gap between those two is a person from your family loading a car at midnight.
The ceremony to reception flip
If your ceremony and reception are in the same room, something has to change between them, fast, while your guests are elsewhere. That needs planning into the day's timeline with the venue rather than improvising. A pickup rental cannot do it for you.

When we are not the right fit, and we will say so
We are a decor rental company, not a bulk banquet supplier. If what you need is a hundred matching folding chairs and six long banquet tables, a general party rental company will serve you better and cost you less, and we will tell you that rather than take the booking. What we are good at is the pieces guests notice and photograph.
You can also rent a few pieces without booking a full setup. Plenty of people style their own event and want two or three statement rentals delivered and installed. There is no requirement to buy design services to rent from us.

We confirm what is free for your date and send an itemized quote covering the pieces plus delivery and setup, so you can move money between lines before anything is booked.
Tell us the access details
Stairs or elevator, loading door, and the time window the venue has given you. We plan the logistics around them rather than around a guess.
We deliver, install and collect
We arrive inside the load-in window, install everything in place, and return at the agreed time to take it away.

Do you deliver and set up, or do I pick items up?
We deliver, set up in place, and come back to collect. These are decor pieces like specialty seating, arches and marquee numbers, not things you want to transport and assemble yourself. Send us the venue details including access and the load-in window and we plan around them.
Can I rent just a few pieces without booking full decor?
Yes. Plenty of clients handle their own styling and simply want a couple of statement rentals, a cake table, marquee numbers or specialty chairs, delivered and set up. There is no requirement to book design services in order to rent from us.
Do you rent tables and chairs?
We rent decor-led seating and tables: lounge seating, specialty and peacock chairs, and dessert or cake tables. We are not a bulk banquet supplier, so if you need a hundred matching folding chairs and long banquet tables for a large sit-down dinner, a general party rental company is the better and cheaper fit, and we will tell you that.
How early should I reserve rentals?
