What We Do
One studio for every celebration, and twelve pages under this one
Sparkle Events is an event decor studio at 99 Ralph Erfle Wy in Nepean, designing, building, delivering and installing the decor for celebrations across Ottawa and the surrounding area. Six of the pages below are occasions we style, from weddings to henna nights to corporate launches. The other six are the things we actually make: balloon work, backdrops and floral walls, rentals, favours, printed signage, and the planning that holds the rest of it together.
Most events use several at once, which is why they are listed separately instead of sold as fixed packages. Everything here is installed before guests arrive and collected afterwards, so nothing turns up flat-packed for somebody in the family to assemble on the morning. We work in English and Arabic, and the studio is open daily, 9am to 8pm.

Decor, rentals and planning are three different purchases
People use the three words interchangeably and then compare quotes that were never comparable. Which one you want is the single most useful thing to tell us in a first message.
- Decor
- Decor is a build. We colour-match the pieces to your palette and to the room you have actually booked, then construct and install them on site. A garland gets sized against your wall rather than against a photograph. It is quoted per event and itemized, because a small ceremony and a full reception need a different scale of every piece.
- Rentals
- A rental is an object with a published price, booked on its own with no design work attached. Marquee numbers are $80, a gold sweet cart is $130, a rattan peacock chair is $50. We deliver each piece, place it where it belongs and come back to collect it, rather than handing you a warehouse address and a trolley.
- Planning
- Planning sits above both: concept direction, an itemized quote you can question line by line, a timeline saying who does what and when, and the conversations with your venue and other vendors so they do not land on you the week of the event. Some clients want all of it. Others have the date and venue settled and only need the design executed on the day, which is a smaller scope rather than a lesser one.
Celebrations we style
Six occasions, and they are not one job with the colours swapped. A wedding is several decor jobs at once, the ceremony space, the entrance, the head table and every guest table, and that page is about making them read as one idea rather than four. Engagements and proposals sit apart because a proposal and an engagement party are two different quotes, one built for two people and a camera, the other for a room full of guests. Baby and bridal showers answer the question nobody else in that search result answers honestly, which is whether to buy a kit or have it built.
Henna nights, aqiqah, baptisms, Eid and Ramadan have their own page because they are built around the tradition rather than a wedding template in different colours, and the keepsakes there carry real prices. Birthdays and milestones covers first birthdays, marquee numbers and how a gender reveal actually runs on the day. Corporate events is the one to open if you are the person answering to a building: it is about loading-dock windows, security sign-in and clearing the space again on time, and it explains why December office parties get booked in October.

What we create
Planning and design is the full-service page, including what an itemized quote actually contains. Balloon decor covers helium work, garlands, arches and custom printed balloons, and is worth reading for the lead time alone, because colour-matched balloons are ordered in rather than pulled off a shelf. Backdrops and floral walls is the wall every guest photograph ends up containing. Rentals lists the chairs, tables, arches and marquee pieces with their prices attached. Favours runs from $5 for a mini coffeepot to $7.90 for a mini clay jar. Printing and signage covers welcome signs, seating charts and the small printed details, made in house so the lettering matches the setup instead of approximating it.

How They Combine
What a real event uses
Take an ordinary Saturday shower in a rented hall. The backdrop is the anchor, because it is what the photographs contain. A balloon garland is built to the same palette and sized against that wall. The dessert table underneath is a rental, a sweet cart or a three-tier display, so it is real furniture instead of a folding table under a cloth. Favours sit on that same table and are chosen as part of the same look, and a printed welcome sign at the door tells guests they are in the right place.
That is five of the twelve pages in one afternoon, quoted as a single itemized list and installed as one setup. Split across five suppliers, it is how palettes stop matching and how three delivery windows end up competing for the same two-hour access slot the venue gave you.
Sequence
What to book, and in what order
Date and venue first, always
The venue decides more about what is possible than the budget does. Four answers matter before anyone designs anything: the load-in window, the ceiling height, whether anything may be attached to walls or ceilings, and the hard time the room has to be cleared. Get them in writing, because a rented hall usually has another booking on one side of yours.
Then decide the scope, not the details
Whether you want planning, a full decor build, or one or two rental pieces changes a quote more than any colour choice will. Tell us which when you enquire. The design direction and itemized quote come next, and that is where pieces can still be scaled down, swapped or removed before anything is committed.
Rentals, favours and signage last
These are confirmed against the quote rather than bought ahead of it. Buying a cake table before the backdrop is designed is how people end up with two pieces that do not sit together.
How far ahead to book
Peak Ottawa wedding Saturdays in summer and early autumn are frequently booked six months to a year out. Showers, birthdays and proposals are comfortable at a couple of weeks, though weekend dates go first and a precise palette is easier to hit with three weeks than three days, because colour-matched balloons are ordered in. Corporate December parties get booked through October and November. If your date is closer, ask anyway.
