Most favour suppliers sell you a catalogue and leave the styling to someone else. Here the keepsakes and the decor come out of the same studio, so the ribbon on a clay jar and the card in a shell box match the palette already going on the tables. You are not obliged to book decor to buy them: every favour below has its own price and product page.
What favours and souvenirs do you make?
Six pieces are priced and orderable today: a mini glass box for candy or small jewellery at $4.50, a miniature traditional coffeepot (dallah) at $5, a mini incense burner (mabkhara) at $5.50, a henna handkerchief for the zaffa dance at $6, a mini clay jar finished with ribbon and coin trim at $7.90, and a shell box with chocolate and a personalised name card at $8. Alongside those we make mini Quran and tasbeh sets and laser-cut name tags to order, each finished in your colours rather than a fixed palette.
Why cultural and religious keepsakes are the point here
Search for wedding favours in Ottawa and you get bakeries, candle makers and a wholesale box catalogue. None of them carry a mabkhara, a dallah, a mini Quran and tasbeh set, or a handkerchief meant for the zaffa. Those are not novelty items to us: they are what a henna night, an aqiqah, an engagement or a Ramadan gathering actually calls for. The studio works in English and Arabic, so nobody has to explain what a misbaha is before they can order one.
How personalisation and laser-cut name tags work
Printed name cards, the kind that sit inside a shell box with the chocolate, carry a guest's name or a short line of thanks. Laser-cut name tags are cut individually and used as place settings, so the tag doubles as the seating plan and the guest takes it home afterwards. Both need the same thing from you: the final guest list with the spellings you actually want, including any Arabic names transliterated the way that family writes them. Send it once it is settled, not while it is still moving.
Check the venue rule before you choose a candle or incense favour
Ottawa venues restrict open flame and loose material more often than couples expect, and it catches favour choices specifically. Ottawa Wedding Chapel, to take a published example, states that "No rice or confetti is permitted on the chapel grounds, inside or out" and that "We do not allow candles for decoration." A mabkhara or a candle favour guests take home unlit is unaffected by any of that. One you plan to light on the tables is a conversation to have with your venue first, and we will ask about it rather than let you find out on the day.

How much do custom event favours cost in Ottawa?
Ours are priced per item, from $4.50 for a mini glass candy and jewellery box to $8 for a shell box with chocolate and a printed name card. In between sit the mini coffeepot at $5, the incense burner at $5.50, the henna handkerchief at $6 and the mini clay jar at $7.90. Each price is on its own product page, so you can work out a hundred-guest total before contacting anybody.
Can I order favours on their own, without booking decor?
Yes, and many clients do. Each favour has its own price and product page, and there is no requirement to book styling or rentals to buy them. The advantage of booking both is that the ribbon, card and colours get matched to what is already going on the tables rather than chosen in isolation.
Do you make favours for henna nights, aqiqah and cultural celebrations?
Yes, and it is the part of this we care most about getting right. Mini Quran and tasbeh sets, miniature coffeepots (dallah), incense burners (mabkhara), mini clay jars with coin trim and henna handkerchiefs for the zaffa are all part of what this studio makes and finishes. We work in English and Arabic, so describe what you need in whichever is easier.
Can favours be personalised with guest names?
Two ways. Printed name cards sit inside a favour box with a name or a short line of thanks, and laser-cut name tags are cut individually so each works as a place setting the guest keeps. Send the final guest list with the exact spellings, including transliterations of Arabic names, and we set them out for your approval before anything is cut.
How many favours should I order, and how early?
Count households rather than heads where couples and families arrive together, then add a few spare. Order as early as the guest list allows, particularly around peak wedding weekends and Ramadan and Eid. It is worth knowing what the market asks for before you compare quotes: one Ottawa favour maker publishes a $500 order minimum, a 50 per cent deposit to begin production, and at least two weeks' notice on orders of thirty or more. Ask us about your date and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.
