Baby & Bridal Shower Decor in Ottawa
Celebrations We Style
Soft, joyful, and beautifully put together.
Sparkle Events design, deliver and install baby shower and bridal shower decor across Ottawa from a base in Nepean, covering Barrhaven, Richmond, Kanata, Orleans, Gloucester and Gatineau: balloon garlands, themed backdrops, styled dessert and favour tables, and welcome signs. This is a setup service rather than a shop, so the pieces arrive built and installed at your venue instead of flat-packed for you to assemble on the morning.
Warm styling for baby showers, baptisms, and welcoming celebrations, from the themed backdrop to the dessert and favour tables. Sweet without being fussy.

The Shower Decor We Build
Balloon Garlands & Arches
The garland is built to your palette rather than pulled from a bag, which is why specific shades usually have to be ordered in ahead of the date. Sage, dusty blue and neutral tones are what most Ottawa showers ask for at the moment. Size is set against the actual room, because a garland that reads as generous in a living room can look thin across the wall of a community hall.
Themed Backdrops
A backdrop is what every guest photograph ends up containing, so it is worth more attention than the table settings. Fabric panels, floral walls and framed structures all work, and the choice usually comes down to the wall you have and how much light is in the room. Decorative pieces get added on top: our large white butterflies rent at $30 and read well against a soft palette without adding another colour to it.
Dessert & Favour Tables
This is where guests gather, so it is built as a set piece on real furniture rather than a folding table under a cloth. A gold sweet cart rents at $130, a three-tier display table at $130, a round cake table at $150, and a suspended swing table at $230 for something less expected. Favours sit on the same table and are part of the same look, not an afterthought bought separately.
Welcome Signs
A sign at the door tells guests they are in the right place and gives the entrance a finished edge, which matters most in rented venues where the doorway is otherwise blank. We print and style these in house alongside any other signage the day needs, so the lettering and colours match the rest of the setup rather than approximating it.
Should I buy a decoration kit or have it built?
Both are reasonable and they suit different days. A kit from a party shop is the cheapest route by a wide margin, and if you have willing help and a free morning it can look genuinely lovely. What you are paying for with a setup service is the morning back, plus the parts a kit cannot supply: balloons colour-matched to a specific palette rather than a manufacturer's approximation, a garland scaled to your actual wall, real furniture under the dessert table, and someone else standing on the ladder. The honest test is who is hosting. If the person assembling the kit is also the person the shower is for, or is nine months pregnant, or is hosting thirty people in a venue with a two-hour access window, a kit stops being the cheaper option in any meaningful sense.
Is a bridal shower setup different from a baby shower?
The pieces overlap almost entirely and the tone does not. Baby showers skew softer and lean on the palette, and the backdrop tends to be the anchor because so many photographs are taken in front of it with the guest of honour seated. Bridal showers run a little bolder and are usually styled with the wedding in mind, so we keep the two looks deliberately different where we are also doing the wedding, otherwise the photographs from both events start to look like the same afternoon. Tell us which one it is and whether a wedding is already booked with us, and the direction follows from there.
What drives the cost of a shower setup?
Guest count matters less here than at a wedding, because the decor concentrates in two places rather than across every table. The real drivers are the size of the balloon work, whether a backdrop is fabric or floral, how many display pieces the dessert table needs, and the venue's access window. Rental pieces can be booked individually, so a sweet cart at $130 or a three-tier table at $130 can be added to a small quote without committing to a full styled build. We quote itemized so you can see each piece and move the budget between them before anything is confirmed.
Do you cover baptisms, aqiqah and naming celebrations?
Yes, and they are a real part of what we do rather than an afterthought bolted onto a baby shower page. Because they carry their own customs and their own sequence to the day, they are covered properly on our henna and cultural celebrations page, which also handles henna nights, Aqiqah and Eid. We work in English and Arabic, which for these events is often the practical difference between explaining what you want once and explaining it three times.
How It Works
From first message to teardown
Tell us the date & venue
Send the date, the venue, rough guest count, and any palette or references you have saved. Weekend dates fill first.
Design direction & quote
We come back with a direction built for your actual room, plus an itemized quote you can adjust piece by piece.
We order and build
Colour-matched balloons are ordered ahead of the date, and the garland, backdrop and tables are built as one look rather than separately.
Setup and teardown
We install at the venue before guests arrive, and teardown can be included so nobody is clearing a hall at the end of the afternoon.

Good To Know
Baby Showers & Baptisms questions
Do you deliver and set up, or is it a pickup?
We deliver and install at your venue, and the setup is finished before guests arrive. That is the main difference between booking this and buying a kit: nothing arrives flat-packed and nothing needs assembling by you on the morning. Teardown can be included in the quote as well, which matters in rented halls where the room has to be cleared by a fixed time.
How far in advance should I book a baby shower setup?
A couple of weeks is comfortable for most showers, and weekend dates fill earlier than weekdays. The one thing that genuinely needs lead time is colour: balloons in a specific shade have to be ordered in, so a precise palette is easier to hit with three weeks than with three days. If your date is soon, ask anyway and we will tell you honestly what is achievable in the time.
Can you match a specific colour palette or theme?
Yes, and it is worth sending the exact reference rather than describing it, because sage and dusty blue in particular cover a wide range of actual shades. Send the photo you have saved, or the invitation if it is already designed, and we will match the balloons and the backdrop to it. Where a shade cannot be sourced in time for your date we will say so before you book rather than substituting something close and hoping it passes.
Can I book just the dessert table or just the balloon garland?
Yes. Individual rental pieces are listed with their own prices, so a gold sweet cart at $130, a three-tier display table at $130 or a round cake table at $150 can be booked on their own without any styling around them. Plenty of people handle their own decorating and want one real piece of furniture under the cake instead of a folding table. Tell us what you actually need and we will quote that rather than a package with parts you will not use.
