The lip is why people book it over a table
A flat table needs every sweet in a bowl or a jar. The tray on this cart has a raised edge, so you can spread wrapped treats or petits fours directly across the surface and they stay where you put them. The catalogue photos show it both ways: one loaded with pastries and a cake on stands, another with the tray filled edge to edge with wrapped sweets. The second only works because of the lip.
It is a display piece, not a serving trolley
The wheels are part of the look rather than a way to move it loaded. Decide where it goes before it is filled, and treat it as fixed once it is. On carpet it settles fine; on grass or gravel the spoked wheels sink and it stops being level, which is a real problem for anything loose on the tray. If your event is on a lawn, tell us and we will plan boards or suggest a different piece.

It works as a second focal point away from the main table, which is why it turns up at weddings, showers and birthdays as the favour station near the exit. - We deliver it, set it up before your guests arrive, and come back to collect it afterwards. Nothing in the rental collection is a self-collect item, because most of these pieces need two people and a van, and a statement chair or a dessert table arriving damaged in the back of a car is nobody's idea of a saving. Delivery is quoted with the piece rather than added afterwards.
- How far in advance should I book it?
- Popular weekends go earliest, and single pieces like statement seating and cake tables exist once, not in multiples, so a date is either free or it is not. A week or two is comfortable for most dates and peak Saturdays fill well before that. Ask anyway if your date is soon: we will tell you honestly what is still available rather than holding you while we check.
