The short answer
A garland for the outside of a house. In our photograph teal, sky blue and pale blue balloons with chrome gold clusters climb from the step up one side of a front door to the porch ceiling. A shorter column wraps the wooden easel beside the door, which holds a Welcome Home sign trimmed with blue flowers, and crescent moons and stars hang on strings from the porch roof, so the doorway is dressed before anyone reaches it.

A porch roof helps
A covered porch keeps rain and the midday sun off the balloons and gives the garland a ceiling to climb to. In ours the column rises from the step to the underside of the porch roof, and the moons and stars hang from the same ceiling, so the doorway reads as one piece.
The sign
The easel sign carries names and a date, and the shorter balloon column wraps the easel's legs so the sign sits inside the garland. Our printing service makes signs. Whether this one comes with the garland is not recorded here, so ask when you send the wording.

- Built. This is an installation rather than a rental, so it is made for your date in your colours, put up on site, and not collected afterwards: it is yours for the day. That is the practical difference between hiring a piece of furniture and commissioning decor, and it is why the quote covers design and install rather than a return trip.
- Can you match my colours exactly?
- We match to your palette instead of working from a fixed set of shades, and that is most of the difference between decor that looks designed and decor that looks like it came from a party aisle. Speciality shades get ordered in for your date, so colour-matched work needs more notice than people expect. Send a photo or a colour reference with your date.
- How much notice do you need?
- More than a rental needs, because materials get ordered for your specific colours before anything is built. A week or two is comfortable for most designs and peak weekends fill earlier. If your date is soon, ask anyway: we will tell you what is achievable with what is already in stock instead of promising a palette we cannot source in time.
