Guest Table Styling

The short answer

One guest table dressed the way our photograph shows it: a round table under a white cloth, white chair covers tied with a blush satin sash at the back, a blush chiffon runner laid loosely across the top, and a low centrepiece of white and blush roses with eucalyptus. It is quoted on request, and the number we need first is how many tables the room seats.

What is in the photograph, and what is not

Everything on and around the table in the picture is the styling: the cloth, the covers and sashes, the runner and the centrepiece. What is not part of it is the head table at the far end of the room, which is our Draped Head-Table Backdrop and is listed on its own, and the room itself. We are drawing the line this plainly because the photograph is a whole reception, and a customer could reasonably read the whole room as one price.

Why we ask for the table count first

A guest table is a repeating unit. A room of twelve tables needs twelve of everything on this list and a cover and sash for every seat, and tying the last sash takes as long as the first. So a quote is built from the number of tables, not the number of guests, and the table count is the one figure that moves it. Tell us that, the room and the date, and we will send a number for the lot.

The sash is what makes the room read as dressed

A white cover on its own makes a chair disappear. The bow at the back is what a guest sees walking into the room, because chairs face the table and their backs face the door. That is why the sash colour is the one choice worth making carefully: it repeats on every chair, so it sets the colour of the room before anyone notices the runner or the flowers. The photograph is blush; ask us what else we can tie.

What we cannot tell you from the catalogue

Whether the glassware and cutlery in the photograph are ours or the venue's, which sash and runner colours we hold, and whether the centrepiece is fresh or silk are not recorded here, and we will not guess at any of them. Send us the venue, the date and the table count and we will confirm all three before you book.

Questions people ask about this

Is this rented or built for my event?
Built. This is an installation rather than a rental, so it is made for your date in your colours, put up on site, and not collected afterwards: it is yours for the day. That is the practical difference between hiring a piece of furniture and commissioning decor, and it is why the quote covers design and install rather than a return trip.
Can you match my colours exactly?
We match to your palette instead of working from a fixed set of shades, and that is most of the difference between decor that looks designed and decor that looks like it came from a party aisle. Speciality shades get ordered in for your date, so colour-matched work needs more notice than people expect. Send a photo or a colour reference with your date.
How much notice do you need?
More than a rental needs, because materials get ordered for your specific colours before anything is built. A week or two is comfortable for most designs and peak weekends fill earlier. If your date is soon, ask anyway: we will tell you what is achievable with what is already in stock instead of promising a palette we cannot source in time.
